
Orange County Senior Games Opening Ceremonies are This Monday

The 32nd Annual Orange County Senior Games begin next week and are the longest running program of its kind in the nation. Presented by the Orange County Department of Parks and County Office for the Aging, they offer a wide variety of competitions, contests, museum tours and social activities for men and women, ages 55 and older.

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commissioner Richard L. Rose, Jr. have announced that the opening ceremonies for the 32nd annual Senior Games will be held at 9 a.m. this Monday, September 28, at the Day Camp area at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Campbell Hall.

According to the press release, United State Military Academy Band vocalist Army Master Sergeant MaryKay Messenger will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America. The games will continue for two weeks, highlighting some of the many different things that seniors do in the Hudson Valley such as horseback riding, hiking, trap shooting & archery, golf tournament, bingo tournament, bowling, and much more.
