Due to Tropical Storm Fay the races for last weekend at the Orange County Fair Speedway (OCFS) were postponed and moved to this weekend. The OCFS confirmed this news on their Facebook page this afternoon (July 13,2020). The OCFS is working really hard this year to give the Hudson Valley some great family entertainment. There are protocols in place at the speedway which everyone needs to follow who plans to attend a race, but it still looks like a lot of fun.

The OCFS stated in their post that they will run the complete four division line-up from last Saturday will on July 18th. This will include the headline race the United Rentals DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, the H.O. Penn Small-Block Modifieds, the Sportsman and the full-bodied Street Stocks. It should be a great night of racing and so far the weather looks good.

There will be qualifiers and features races on Saturday. Fans with rain-checks who were at the track on the 11th will be honored this Saturday the 18th. If you can't make it this weekend and you have a rain-check from the 11th you can also use it on a regular priced weekly race in the future. This also applies to pre-purchased Drive-In and Party Deck Tickets.

If you haven't been to the races yet this year at OCFS you need to know that the Grandstand is still closed but the Drive-In and a special Infield Drive-In have been set up to watch the races. The Infield Drive-in could be a real treat for a young race fan.

There is also $1.00 car charge. If you want to reserve a spot you must pre-register. Infield Drive-In tickets are $30. You can also make a reservation for a Party Deck Table. OCFS has made it so you can hear announcements and race calls over car radios at FM 107.7. The refreshment stands, restrooms, and the souvenir stand will also be open. The Drive-In gate will open at 4 PM and cars will be on the track by 6 PM.

If for some reason you can't get to the track Saturday you can watch the action by ordering live multi-camera streaming of the races on the OCFS website for $20.00. For information on racing this weekend or to pre-register you can call 845-342-2573. You can also go to orangecountyfairspeedway.net. OCFS also reminds everyone, spectators and racers that face coverings must be worn. They suggest that you read through all the protocols before you get to the grounds.
