Everyone is talking about what they will do first when New York comes off Pause. I don't think I can pick just one, there are so many things I want to do. However, If I have to pick just one I would rather make it more of a category then a particular thing. What I mean to say is, I would do all the things I love to do in the Spring in the Hudson Valley.

Since New York went on Pause in March we basically had to watch Spring unfold out our windows. The first 6 weeks of Spring have flown by and we us have either been stuck at home waiting on nice weather or working an essential job sun up to sundown. And on top of it the weekend weather has been pretty crumby. So The first thing I want to do is "Do Spring".

In no particular order I would go to an outdoor market for local fresh produce. I would definitely go to a yard sale, or ten, who are we kidding. And I would want to go for a walk around an apple orchard. We missed all the blossoms or should I say most of them. It is a weird habit that I do every year. I like seeing the blossoms in the Spring then I go back in the summer for a quick peek at the newly forming apples while I am picking up peaches. Then going the fall it is back to the orchard to hand pick some from the trees I saw blooming in the Spring.

It is a weird annual ritual which I enjoy every year. Hopefully I haven't missed all the blooms. And by the way my favorite Hudson Valley apple is the Honey Crisp so I was super excited to see that Dressel Farm is planting some new trees.

Looking forward to seeing everyone outdoors real soon.
