New Paltz Bus Accident Injures Extras From Showtime’s ‘Billions’
A Monday night bus accident injured four extras after they left Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz. The accident took place after filming had wrapped for the evening on the Showtime series Billions.
According to The Daily Freeman, the bus was traveling down Mountain Rest Road when the driver stopped to help another motorist in distress. After the driver had left the bus, it was hit from behind by another vehicle and slid into a ditch. The four injured passengers were taken to local hospitals where all were in stable condition.
After the accident occurred, representatives from Mohonk were able to provide transportation and lodging until the weather improved as the accident occurred in the middle of this week's snowstorm.
Billions stars Paul Giamatti as US Attorney Chuck Rhodes and Damian Lewis as Bobby 'Axe' Axelrod as they square off in the complex world of New York City high finance. It was announced back in June that Billions would be coming back for a fifth season and filming is officially underway.
