It one of those things I think most of us see and we are all like C'MON REALLY! People smoking in the car with kids in it.

According to News Channel 5, a bill was just introduced to the New Jersey Senate that would give police the right to ticket drivers that are caught smoking in their car with children in the same vehicle. The bill states the fine would be around $100.

If the bill is passed police could fine anyone driving with a child 17 or under. This would not be something police could pull you over for, it would have to be a secondary offense. For example if you are pulled over for speeding and you are smoking in the car with a minor in it, then the police could ticket you.

Could New York be next? Should New York be next?
