It might be a little early to be thinking about your 5K plans for 2024 but the reality is the first runs are right around the corner. I don't personally run, I am built more for walking but most of the people I know who run try to do it all year long.

We don't have any winter events locally but as soon as the temperature breaks you will want to be ready to go. As a matter of fact a very popular run that is organized by the Mohonk Preserve is just 2 months away.

Monhonk Preserve Annual 5-Mile Run is April 13, 2024

The Annual Rock and Snow Bridge 2 Bridge Five Mile Run which is organized by the Mohonk Preserve and supported by the Shawangunk Runners is on the calendar for April 13th, 2024. That is just 8 weeks from now.

Proceeds from the race benefit the preserve and help with its mission to protect and promote the Shawangunk Region. This is not the only race that the Mohonk Preserve produces. Later in May they also hold Rock the Ridge a 50-mile endurance challenge that is insanely popular.

How to Register for the Rock and Snow Five Mike Run in New Paltz, New York

So how do you get into this 5-mile adventure? Easy you sign up. Participants receive a commemorative T-shirt, access to two water stops on the course, complimentary refreshments, and post-race snacks provided by the Shawanguck Runners. You will also get a discount coupon from Rock and Snow a great shop for everything outdoors in New Paltz.
