Did you know that the Mohonk Preserve protects over 8,000 acres of forests, waterfalls, fields, streams, mountains, and other wonders of nature? Did you know that they wouldn't be able to do that without members, supporters, and volunteers? Mohonk Preserve is New York State's largest non-profit nature preserve and they are looking for volunteers for this year.

If you are interested in being a hike leader, part of the cross-country ski patrol, a photographer, on the backcountry patrol, on stream watch, gardening, or a myriad of other interests, this would be a great fit.

Mohonk Preserve is currently holding volunteer orientations where you can learn more about each activity, meet with the coordinator, and get to know the other volunteers. Most are held on the weekends, with a few exceptions. You can get the complete schedule here. Each volunteer session is held at the Visitor's Center and reserving your spot would be very helpful. If this is your first year to volunteer, you will need to register.

For more information, call the Visitor's Center at 845-255-0919.
