It seems like you can't trust anyone.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, a woman was charged after she allegedly stole and then went and pawned her friend's engagement ring.

New York State Police have charged Carla Cardoso with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony after they were called to investigate the alleged theft at an East Fishkill home after a woman said she believed that Cardoso stole the ring while she was visiting.

Police told the Journal that Cardoso allegedly stole the ring and sold it at a pawn shop in the Danbury area.

After being arrested, Cardoso was released on an appearance ticket.
