It happened on Wednesday afternoon in Catskill in Greene County, thankfully nobody was injured.

According to the Register Star, the Germantown Central School District boys’ soccer team from Columbia County, was en route to Albany when the bus they were in struck a Jeep on Route 23.

New York State Police told the Register Star, that the accident took place when the school bus driver, Joseph Morrison, attempted to turn north onto Jefferson Heights from the Route 23 West exit ramp, as he turned the bus collided with the back of a 2014 Jeep Wrangler that was driven by Tammy Cilione from Poughkeepsie.

NYSP have said that, none of the 16 students on the bus were injured and that after the accident the soccer players were picked up by another school bus and they continued on to play their game in Albany.

Germantown Central School District Superintendent Susan L. S. Brown told the Star that “We are very relieved that everyone is OK.”
