Is The Last Blockbuster Video Store Closing For Good?
Rumors are swirling that the last remaining Blockbuster Store is set to close its doors for good before the end of 2024.
Back in 2022 the once popular giant video rental store Blockbuster saw a bit of a resurgence when Netflix began streaming the documentary "The Last Blockbuster" which if you never watched looked at the rise and fall of the massive video rental store.

The Hudson Valley was home to a ton of Blockbuster stores and most of us had a favorite. I remember a few of these former Blockbuster locations across the Hudson Valley, do you?

Blockbuster went from 9000 stores down to one, and that one is still currently open! Or is it? The rumor mill began to swirl earlier this month when social media memes began to spread saying that The Blockbuster, located in Bend, Oregon would be closing its doors for good on October 31st, 2024. The memes stated that trustworthy news organizations reported that the store closure would mark "the official end of the iconic video rental chain."
