Did You See The ‘Intruder’ Police Captured In Orange County?
Police in Orange County, New York have placed a unique "intruder" in custody after cornering and capturing him.
The Hudson Valley is a part of New York State full of various life forms. No, I'm not talking about the alleged alien/UFO sightings in the Pine Bush area but more along the lines of humans and wildlife. The odds say at one time or another, depending on where you live in the Hudson Valley, you've experienced some run-in with a form of wildlife, from bears, raccoons, and deer, to skunks, groundhogs, and opossums we have them all and unfortunately sometimes they get into spots they shouldn't be.
"Intruder" Captured by Washingtonville, NY Police
That's exactly what happened earlier this week in Washingtonville, NY when officers from the Washingtonville Police Department were dispatched to answer a 911 call that reported an intruder inside a residence. As officers arrived at the residence on Washington Blvd., they quickly located the intruder who was attempting to hide from being captured inside the home behind a washing machine.

Once officers located him they were able to corner and capture him without incident.
Catch & Release?
Once the intruder was in custody the homeowner informed them they would not be pursuing any criminal charges leading police to give "him" a warning and then transport him out of the area "so he would not try to break and enter into another home" according to the WPD Facebook page.
"This morning, officers responded to a 911 call for an intruder inside a residence on Washington Blvd. Police Officers quickly located the intruder trying to hide inside the home behind a washing machine and were able to corner and capture him without incident. The homeowner declined to pursue any criminal charges against the intruder so Police gave him a warning and transported him out of the area so he would not try to break and enter into another home."
What Was It?
The intruder hasn't been officially identified but after looking at the picture above it appears to be an opossum, right? A job well done by WPD!
