How To Make Years of Unwanted Stuff Disappear
There are so many reasons to love the Spring. The winter is over, the weather is getting warmer is a popular reason, but in my opinion, there are some even more exciting.
The Spring Cleaning Ritual is Still a Thing
Spring rocks because you can finally get rid of stuff that should have been gone months ago, but winter gave you the excuse to keep it. There is nothing like Spring Cleaning.
Spring is the time we get to crack open windows and let in fresh air again. It is also the perfect time to get into the back of our closets and get rid of stuff that we forgot we even owned. The next step is to dispose of it properly.

Some items can go to the curb with a free sign. Some items can be put in your regular trash. But if you plan to do a deep clutter clearing, you may want to consider hitting your local dump or transfer station.
I am proud to say that I have already been to my transfer station, got my 2025 pass, and have dropped off a few things and it's not even May. Making sure you dispose of items correctly is so important and your local transfer station can help.

Now days it is important to make sure you are following dumping rules. Even your local trash companies are cracking down on homeowners who are putting sensitive things out in the regular trash.
Unused cleanser, Pesticides, and even paint can all be bad for the environment when not disposed of properly. It is important we do our part to make sure items end up discarded in a proper place.
If you aren't sure what can go where, talk to your local transfer station. You can also consult the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. The NYS DEC has in-depth information.
