Hudson Valley: The Best Fall Drive

Samantha Brown is a travel expert who has hosted dozens of shows on the Travel Channel. She's shown us the luxuries of vacation in Hawaii to the beautiful green hills of Ireland and given us the in's and out's of traveling. It's safe to say she has the knowledge and experience to give us the best travel destinations for the fall.

I was searching around for fun fall activities in the Hudson Valley when Samantha's blog came up. According to a post from Samantha's blog in 2012, she named the Hudson Valley her favorite fall drive. She made stops in Millbrook and Millerton while instructing her readers to take Google Maps and find the Salt Point Turnpike. While in Millbrook, Samantha stopped at the Winery and then made her way to the Oakhurst Diner and Harney and Son's Tea Shop. I know the article is a few years old, but I've never heard or been to the Oakhusrt Dinner/Harney's Tea Shop. You learn something new about the Hudson Valley every day.

This past weekend I drove up to Vermont and did a fair amount of driving through the Hudson Valley. The trees haven't turned yet, but they are most definitely on their way to a beautiful fall foliage.
