Food and an interest in food has really grown lately. People are getting more creative at home. They are also looking for more fun options when they eat out. What could be more fun than a giant plate of food items built into a bouquet and placed on the top of a cocktail?

We are lucky to live in an area that truly embraces healthy choices and gives us a chance to learn how to eat from farm to table. We can also find so much culinary talent after all we are home to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. So finding something like what The Blind Pelican Seafood House offers should be too hard.

Look at the Over Stuffed Bloody Mary Pitcher

So what about outlandish food? Culinary offerings that are just over the top. Could you even imagine being served the plate shown below? The best part about it I believe it is actually a pitcher of Bloody Marys which is the Blind Pelican's specialty.

If you are wondering about the cost you are like me. I figured I might need a small loan to order this for my table and I was correct. The price was shared on Facebook and it was reported to come in at $2024.

Hudson Valley restaurants have creative and exciting menus but I have never seen anything like what is offered on the Blind Pelicans Menu available in New York. I don't think I have ever seen so much food on a stick.

Seeing this delicious pile of goodness that includes lobster tails, crab legs, cheeseburgers, plenty of bloody marys, and most likely a pickle somewhere would be hard to duplicate but I think I know a restaurant or two in the Hudosn Valley that could do it.

What Hudson Valley Restaurants Should Make This Dish

Here are the three eateries I think could pull this off.

1 - Shadows on the Hudson in Poughkeepsie. Hudson Riverside dining with a flare. Shadows could take this on and make it so high you have to wheel it around from kitchen to table.

2 - Blu Point on the Hudson in Newburgh. I believe could also whip up something tall and delicious like this. After all, they do already offer this seafood tower.

3 - Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar on the Rondout in Kingston has a version they make. I wonder if they could be the restaurant to build the monster seafood platter.

Let me know if you have ever seen anything like this on a plate in New York and I will add them to the list.

Put the Blind Pelican on your food travel list next time you are down south. Here a look at a few more they make.
