Mansion You Can Tour in Hyde Park, New York
There are numerous historic sites you can visit while in Hyde Park, many of which were once people's homes. The Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site also known as Val-Kill is one of the many places open to the public for tours and events. Built in 1925 it was a retreat for Eleanor and her friends. You might call it one of the original "She Sheds".
In addition to Val-Kill, there is the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site built by one of the first families in America to have significant wealth. The mansion offers tours and the grounds are open to the public throughout the year.

Another prominent home is the Staatsburgh State Historic Site which was the residence of Ogden Mills and his wife Ruth. Built during what is called the Gilded Age (1876 - 1917 it is another place that reflects the wealth in America at that time.
The Franklin D. Roosevelt Home is one of the famous homesteads in Hyde Park. it also boosts having the first Presidential Library.

Hyde Park is Home to the Best Chefs and Culinary Cuisine
If you are a foodie you probably already know that Hyde Park is home to the Culinary Institute of America. A great learning institution for people looking to enter the culinary arts, it is also great for tourists. Multiple restaurants and annual events on the campus allow visitors to enjoy a taste of what's cooking and brewing at this world-renowned school.
This is just a sample of what you can find in Hyde Park New York. There are many locally owned restaurants such as Joseph's Italian Steakhouse. There is a Drive-In theatre which will hopefully be showing movies again this year and an Antiques store in a building that is tied to Hudson Valley History.
