It happened this week on Main Street in New Paltz. A famous restaurant location has reopened with a new restaurant ready to greet the public.
Trying a New Cuisine at Popular New Paltz Pizza Spot
The corner at 52 Main Street has been an eatery for as long as I have been visiting New Paltz. Actually, to be accurate, 52 Main Street has been a pizzeria for as long as I have been visiting New Paltz.

The original pizzeria that I remember from my college days was Chez Joey. Since then, there have been many others. The last pizzeria to make a go of it at that location, Best Pizza, recently closed up shop, and the new tenants are going in a different direction.
Caribbean Restaurant Opens in Old Pizzeria Spot in New Paltz
Yah So Nice, a Caribbean restaurant, has just opened its doors this week, breaking the long-running tradition of 52 Main Street serving pizza. Now items on the menu include Jerked Chicken, Jerked Pork, and Oxtail. They offer wraps, a kids' menu, and even vegan dishes like Curry Tofu.

I have not had the opportunity yet to head into Yah So Nice, but I do know someone who stopped in and commented that the food was good. If you are unfamiliar with Caribbean food, the flavors include tropical fruits, spices such as allspice, cinnamon, and ginger. There are often spicy marinades and plenty of seafood they also serve goat.
For those who are familiar with the inside of this address, you may be surprised to find out that the pizza ovens are gone and a bar has been built in their place.
