Hudson Valley brothers who have lyrics like "Vice president and president: French kiss," will replace Confederate Railroad at the Ulster County Fair.

On Saturday, Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan announced that the Felice Brothers will headline the Ulster County Fair on Thursday, August 1, at 8 p.m.

“I am excited that the Felice Brothers will be coming to New Paltz and I am even more excited that the fair will remain a place where everyone can attend and feel welcome. I am looking forward to attending with my family and enjoying this amazing act," Town of New Paltz Supervisor Neil Bettez said in a statement.

Confederate Railroad was supposed to perform on Thursday at 8 p.m. but was dropped last week from the Ulster County Fair due to its controversial name. Officials with the Ulster County Fair released a statement calling the band's name a "symbol of division and racism,” confirming the Country-rock band’s free concert at the Ulster County Fair was canceled.

Ian and James Felice, a nationally recognized Americana band that was featured two months ago in Rolling Stone Magazine, grew up in the Hudson Valley and still consider the area home.

"I have been going to the Ulster County Fair with my family and friends for 25 years and my band recorded our first three records only a few miles from the fairgrounds," James Felice said. "Ulster County has been my home for my entire life. It's a joyful honor to play the fair and we're really looking forward to it."

Rolling Stone Magazine named The Felice Brothers, “Undress” as one of the "10 Best Country, Americana Songs to Hear Now."

In the song, Ian Felice sings "Vice president and president: French kiss!”

"Filled with streams of half-cocked political poetry and a truly meteoric chorus, “Undress” is as bizarre as it is riveting — the sound of a band whose increasingly topical songwriting hasn’t lost its weird edges," Robert Crawford writes for Rolling Stone Magazine about the song.

The brothers began playing music in 2006 and have since gone on to release nine albums of original songs and tour throughout the world.

“I’m thrilled that the Felice Brothers are coming to play their home fair. Theirs is a true local success story that deserves to be celebrated. The Ulster County Fair welcomes residents and visitors alike to enjoy our beautiful region and to learn about our thriving tradition of agriculture. I hope that all will attend and enjoy the festivities," Chairwoman Ulster County Legislature Tracy Bartels said.
