I'm starting to think Hummingbirds don't exists in the Hudson Valley.

For a while now I've been following a bunch of social media accounts that have to do with capturing the beauty of the Hudson Valley. Whether it be the Hudson Valley  in Pictures page on Facebook or the Hudson Valley hashtag on Instagram, you can't go wrong.

Hudson Valley residents have an eye for some gorgeous photographs and videos.

However, I find myself extremely jealous when I see videos floating around the groups of hummingbirds. I've lived in the Hudson Valley for 25 years and have yet to see one hummingbird.

What are you feeding these guys? How do I get them to pay a visit to my yard?

I've seriously done research about Hummingbirds in the Hudson Valley, the ruby-throated hummingbird is the most common for New York.

I've read that they are interested in flowers and insects, do I just get a bundle of both and hope for the best? What's your hummingbird secret?
