The last few months and weeks have been one for the record books. I think we could all use some mindless fun facts to ease our stresses.

It's nothing new and we've seen it before, but on Wednesday we started a Palindrome week. What is a Palindrome you ask? I asked the same question to myself because me and big words don't mix well.

According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Palindrome is:

a word, verse, or sentence (such as "Able was I ere I saw Elba") or a number (such as 1881) that reads the same backward or forward

So for the next 10 days, the date will be a Palindrome.

Here's what it'll look like:

1.20.21
1.21.21
1.22.21
1.23.21
1.24.21
1.25.21
1.26.21
1.27.21
1.28.21
1.29.21

Pretty cool right?

Another fun fact to share with your friends, there are also Palindrome words like Kayak and Racecar.

I'm not big into superstitions, but I think this week could be a good one to get into playing the lottery. Numbers are pretty important the last few weeks. If you've been following along or feeling lucky, then you've probably played Mega Millions or Power Ball within the last few days.

There was one winner in Maryland for Power Ball, and a couple of New York winners, but Mega Millions is still up in the air.

The next drawing is on Friday, 1.22.21. Those look like pretty lucky numbers to me!

If you're busy this week and feel as though you're missing out on Palindrome fun, don't worry. The next Palindrome week in 2021 will begin on December 1st, 2021. Which will also look like this: 12.1.21.
