Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County has a new home-buying program called Homebuying Readiness. Many people don't realize that Habitat for Humanity doesn't just give away homes. They empower people to purchase homes with their Homebuying Readiness Program.

Habitat Dutchess' Homebuying Readiness Program

The Homebuying Readiness Program at Habitat Dutchess helps guide people on a path to homeownership.

The first place future Habitat Dutchess homeowners start is by finding out more at habitatdutchess.org where you can fill out a Homebuying Readiness survey. You can take it online by clicking here. Applications are available on our website, by mail or by visiting the Restore.

Once the survey is done, interested buyers can also request an application that is available in both English and Spanish. They are also welcome to schedule a video chat with Habitat Dutchess Housing & Financial Coach Jennifer Buitrago.

Two Habitat Homes are For Sale in the Town Of Poughkeepsie, New York

Currently, Habitat Dutchess has two homes available in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

One home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. The other is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath home. They are both in a great location.

To apply for these homes, applicants must have a minimum income of $55,000. The plan is for these homes to close in the spring of 2025. These homes are in the Hyde Park School District.

Applications are being accepted now through February 17th, 2025.
