Veteran's Day is Wednesday and this year there is a different way you can show your support for Veterans.

This year Walmart is joining forces with several veterans groups to show vets the nation remembers them and appreciates them.

Walmart has made it clear that they as a company are committed to hiring more veterans and are encouraging other businesses to follow suit.

This year Walmart is also asking the public to replace one outside light on the homes or apartments with a green light. Easy enough, right?

Greenlight a Vet is a program to honor military veterans and to raise awareness of their unique needs. Greenlight a Vet hopes that after people see the green lights they will start up a conversations, show up on social media, and effect long lasting and much needed changes for Veterans.

This is a great idea and I hope that everyone takes part this year.

If you are going to take part this year once you replace a regular bulb with a green one PLEASE snap a picture or 2 and post it on social media with the hashtag #greenlightavet.

Green is the color of hope.

I hope that you will join us and give our Veterans a green light November 11, and forever.
