Three Places to go Treasure Hunting this Weekend
Just in case you thought that the flea market season and outdoor antique fairs had ended let me remind you of the places you can visit this weekend. There are plenty of deals and treasures left to be found in the Fall of 2022.
Just because the temperatures have fallen and summer has ended doesn't mean you still can't get up early on a Saturday and head out to a yard sale or two. This is also a great time of year to see what your neighbors may have put on the curb. They may be done with it but maybe it has value for you.
Flea Markets in the Fall in NY and CT
So where can you still go on the weekends to find deals and hunt for treasures? This weekend you can head to Newburgh for the Newburgh Vintage Emporiums Flea Market you can also head to Connecticut for another great Sunday at Elephant's Trunk flea market which happens every Sunday until Christmas,
1 - Newburgh Vintage Emporium at 5006 Route 9W will have its annual flea market in full swing on Saturday (October 22, 2022) from 9 AM to 6 PM with antique dealers inside and out plus food trucks,
2 - High Falls Flea Market will have hours this Sunday from 9 PM to 4 PM. You definitely want to get to this flea market this weekend or next because it will be closing up for the season at the end of October.
3 - Elephants Trunk Flea Market on Danbury Road in New Milford plans to be open this Sunday. Their policy is to keep an eye on the weather a make a decision by Friday afternoon. They are open on Sundays through December so you have time to check them out in the upcoming weeks if they get rain out this weekend.
Those are some of the biggies that I know about but trust me you can find some real treasures at private garage sales too. The best way to find a yard sale near you is to spot the sign or use a "Find a Garage Sale" ad.
