Expect a Christmas Tree Shortage This Year
This can't be good.
One of the things I have looked forward to all year is the day after Thanksgiving. No not for all the black Friday sales going on at pretty much every store, but to finally go out and get a real Christmas tree.
After years of having a tree out of a box, we are finally going out on Friday to cut down our own real Christmas tree and I am so excited about it, until I found this.
According to Fox 4, there is a Christmas tree shortage this year. Now don't freak out, trees are still going to be available but they are going to cost a bit more than we are used to.
The shortage is a direct result of the big recession back in 2008, as they say that farmers that would normally plant trees didn't because of the recession.
Experts from the National Christmas Tree Farm Association told Fox 4 that we can expect to pay about 5 to 10 percent more on live trees this year because of the shortage.
