Another Eastdale Village Closes Their Doors, Doughnut Dolly Says Goodbye
Eastdale Village Says Goodbye To Another Sweet Business
Another Eastdale Village establishment in the cute Poughkeepsie neighborhood is closing up shop.
On Wednesday February 18th, 2026, Doughnut Dolly took to Instagram to announce that the weekend of February 20th would be their last in business.
Doughnut Dolly opened their doors in 2023 and is known for their delicious homemade, hand rolled donuts, filled with fillings made from scratch.
They write "This weekend will be our last weekend serving you at The Doughnut Dolly." Owner and operator Jennifer continued the statement with a thank you to her customers adding:
Thank you for turning doughnuts into tradition—showing up week after week, sharing boxes with family, friends, and even neighbors. You made this place a community, and I’ll never forget it. Truly, I am so grateful.
For those who may have gift cards, February 21st and 22nd will be the last days you can use them.
Spoons Ice Cream in Eastdale Makes Big Announcement
Another popular Eastdale Village shop made a big announcement earlier this month.
Thankfully, they're not closing but changes are coming.
Originally owners at Spoons Kellie and Alyssa announced in early February 2026 that they have officially sold the Eastdale ice cream shop.
Spoons opened back in 2020 and was home to delicious ice cream, unique concoctions and beautiful ice cream cakes. A personal favorite of mine was the peanut butter, pickle ice cream sundae.

Even thought the business was sold, Spoons will remain under new ownership. We spoke to new owner Jamie who told us Spoons has some big things in store for 2026.
Jamie added "Our family is excited to carry that legacy forward- preserving its heart while introducing new experiences and unique offerings for both loyal guests and new fans." It looks like they're already starting the new "unique offerings." Spoons announced their very own Taco Tuesday:
It's a house-made waffle taco shell, stuffed with vanilla ice cream, topped with Biscoff crunchies and Biscoff sauce. That's my kind of taco Tuesday!
New Orleans Inspired Restaurant Closes in Eastdale Village
Sadly, there have been a few closures over the last few years across Eastdale Village.
The New Orleans themed restaurant Barbue closed after a year in business.
Owners explained " Sometimes you get to live out a dream, even if only for a short time. We have enjoyed our time here at Barbue, and cannot begin to say enough for our staff and team here."
More importantly they add:
We won’t be leaving Eastdale, we will just be stepping back into our other home, Buns Burgers.
Buns Burger is opened daily 11 am until 8pm at Eastdale Village.
