Six Years later we say goodbye to what may have been on of New York's most unusual annual events. Naked in the Cave ends with this last event in 2024.

It was April of 2018 when I first saw the Facebook post that advertised Howe Caverns Naked in a Cave event. It was created to celebrate International Nude Day which that year was Saturday, July 14, 2018.

Nake in a Cave is Not Coming Back this Fall.

The invitation in 2018 was to take a leisurely stroll through the caves by lantern light. Your $65 ticket included souvenir robes and a complimentary adult beverage. Open to 21 and over the first year was a hit. It is my understanding that so were the years following.

Now it appears that the 6th Annual Howe Caverns Naked in a Cave will be the last one. They made it official with this post on Facebook this past Sunday, Nake in the Cave ends this year.

On the calendar for Saturday, September 28th, 2024 you can still buy a ticket while supplies last. Tickets to stroll will be $85 plus tax but you can also choose to have dinner and this year you can add a comedy show to the event.

They now offer Yoga in the Cave. Tried to catch one a session.

All of those activities have an additional cost above the Stroll Pass which still includes a complimentary robe and one complimentary adult beverage (beer or wine). A total of 350 will be sold and word is there are less than one hundred left so don't wait if you want to go.

This Place Would Make a Great Nudist Colony

Historic Hitchcock Estate in Millbrook For Sale

Its storied past is one reason people are fascinated with this amazing estate. Featured in Architectural Digest Magazine in 2017 as possibly one of New York's Strangest homes thanks to owner Timothy Leary. This property is truly one of a kind. 45 Hitchcock Lane in Millbrook would be hard to duplicate. And it is larger than the town it calls home.
