Five Must Do Opportunities In June In The Hudson Valley
Get out the June Calendar because I have found some fun things you must do in the Hudson Valley. Hopefully, you can do them all but if not it will be hard to choose what to skip.
Here is to hoping you have weekends off or at least you don't have to get up too early because some of these events will have you out on a work night.
Trivia Night Friday, June 14th at Angry Orchard in Walden, New York
It is Trivia Night: Drag Edition hosted by Queen Andramada. Get there by 5 PM so you can register your team. There will be a variety of hard ciders on tap and food for purchase until 7:30 PM. The draft bar will be open until 7:45 PM.
Trivia topics will cover the history of drag, music & art, movies, and books so study up. There is no charge for the event but you must be 21 and up. There are prizes for 1st and 2nd place

Food Truck Festival Thursday, June 20th in Warwick, New York
Don't miss the Warwick Food Truck Festival at 46 Bowen Road in Warwick. It is the 8th annual and is promising to be bigger and better than ever. The location is new this year it will be at Mountain Lake Park ("Old Kutz Camp") from 2 PM to 9 PM. Dogs are welcome on a lease. It is rain or shine. Pennings Farm Cidery will be on hand.
General Admission is $5 and that is cash only. BYOC: Bring your own chair and share some kindness with a neighbor by bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to the local Warwick food pantries.
BanDeoke Thursday, June 20th in Newburgh New York
Come sing along with one of the Hudson Valley's most popular bands Hillbilly Parade at Newburgh Brewing Company from 8 PM to 11 PM. Let them be your backup band and feel what it is like to be a real rock star.
It happens on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the Newburgh Brewing Company located at 88 Colden Street in Newburgh.
Summer Solstice Festival - Friday, June 21st at City Winery in Montgomery, NY
Moon, Serpent, & Bone Oddities and Curiosities will hold the annual Summer Solstice Festival for its 6th year. This year they return to City Winery HV in Montgomery, New York on June 21st from 6 PM to midnight.
There will be shopping and entertainment throughout the night with the main entertainment scheduled for 9 PM. City Winery HV is at 23 Factory Street in Montgomery. No pets, please. Feel free to come in costume. It is outdoors rain or shine. Tickets are $21 in advance and $27 cash at the door.
Strawberry Jam - Boree Saturday, June 22nd in Goshen, New York
It will be a delicious time at the Strawberry Jam - Boree. This is the 1st annual Strawberry Jam - Boree to be held by All One One All Farm a non-profit organization at 221 Craigville Road in Goshen.
Enjoy the treats made with strawberries by home cooks showcasing their homemade strawberry jams. This is a ticketed event with the proceeds going to the Fresh Food for All Program which helps combat food insecurity. If you want to be a contestant you must register by June 15th.
