Three Unusual Events That You Will Want To Attend In May
Before we know it, May will have slipped by just like the first four months of 2024. So, before it is too far gone I want to make sure you know about some cool things you can do before the calendar says June.
Weekends get busy this time of year so it is important that you look ahead so you don't miss out on doing something fun. Car shows, County Fairs, festivals and more are all gearing up for a fun-filled summer and I want to ensure you don't miss out on a few events that will happen in May before we flip seasons again.
Dirt Track Racing on a Special Night in Accord, New York
The Dirt Track racing season for 2024 is underway at the Accord Speedway. Unfortunately, Friday night's racing was rained out but no worries because this Tuesday, Accord will be holding an event that everyone is looking forward to, The Battle of the Bullring.
Pits are at 4 and the grandstand opens then too. Racing will be underway by 7:15 PM. Admission tickets run from $3 for kids 11 and under up to $45 for Pit Admission.
A Beltane Festival is Happening in Rosendale, New York

Saturday, May 18th, 2024 - The Rail Trail Cafe is holding a Beltane Festival in Rosendale. It is a donation-based family-friendly outdoor festival for all to enjoy. This event fuses a Renaissance Fair flair with an outdoor picnic.
The fun will run from 1 PM to 6 PM at Stone Mountain Farm which is at 312 River Road Ext. You can expect a rainbow of giant puppets, talking birds, dancing dragons, and more.
Dogs Lovers will Run to ARF in Beacon, New York
Sunday, May 19th, 2024 - Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc. ARF will hold the ARF 5K Run/Walk with the Dogs 2024. The morning in Beacon for this event will include a 5K Run or Walk with the dogs where there will be prizes.
There is a 1K Fun Run for Kids (ages 3-10) also with prizes for this time for All-Finishers. Plus there will be face painting, a dog costume contest, and more. Log on to find out more and to register.
