Dolly Parton, Country Music’s Donald Trump?

When you mention Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton all you can really think of is "Island in The Stream" right? Well the are good friends to this day and now that Dolly is back on the scene with a new album on the way a huge tour too, a comment  by Kenny in September is making it's rounds.

Kenny was asked to reflect on his friendship with Parton and he said " You know where you are with her at all times. She has no filter. She has become the Donald Trump of country music.”  He most definitely made the comment in jest. But Dolly had the perfect comeback.

When talking to Rolling Stone about her upcoming Pure and Simple with Dolly Parton's Biggest Hits album and tour,  Dolly responded to Kenny's comment the only way she knows how... "Does he mean my hair or my money? Me and Donald kind of have the same hair. He could have meant that, too. Lord, knowing Kenny, I don’t know what he meant, but he does talk about the fact that I just say whatever is on my mind.”

No official dates and venues have been released for the album or tour, but we are keeping a very close eye on that. New York could use a little taste of Dolly Parton, what do you think?
