This woman really needs some "second chance" advice from you.

Every Wednesday on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show we turn the studio into your very own therapists office to try our best to help out a fellow Wolf listener with a problem they're dealing with.

We call it "We Gotcha Wednesday" and it works like this, we dim the lights, light a candle and get ready to talk it out between friends. We opened up our email this morning and found an email from a divorced lady that is struggling with whether or not to give a second chance. Here is what she wrote to us...

"So I was married to my ex for 6 years and since our divorce we’ve remained friends. We don’t have any kids together but have stayed in touch since our divorce was finalized about 2 years ago. Out of nowhere this week my ex started to tell me about how he’s so different today then when we ended it. We got divorced because he had an issue with addiction that led to him lying to me many times over the course of our marriage. I helped him get treatment early and he was good and then it happened again. It happened some 4 times over 6 years until I had enough and asked him to leave. Once he left he got help and says he’s been sober for 2 years straight. The talks we’ve been having seem like he’s looking to try and get back together with me. I always said he was the "one" when we met and I think I will always love him but am so afraid of the past and it repeating. Should I try? Can people change?"

First I think she has already given him a second, third and fourth chance. Second, I am a firm believer that yes people can change and speaking from experience, recovery is possible with the right tools and if she feels like he has truly changed she should try and see what happens.

Keeping in mind that he is an addict and there is always the possibility of him having issues in the future. If she's OK and willing to be there for him with the possibility of him slipping in the future, then go for it, if not then I don't think its a wise choice.

What do you guys think? Got any advice for her? Call or text us through the Wolf app.
