Today was a big day for us here at Townsquare Media of the Hudson Valley.

As you know we work in a building with a few others radio stations. 101.5 WPDH, Mix 97.7 and 92.7/96.9 WRRV and us here at The Wolf are all right down the hall from each other. We have a pretty decent sized building with a lot of others working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs properly. Every so often, our Party Planning Committee gets together and plans fun events to get everyone involved. One of the most popular events is the annual chili cook off.

In 2015 (we took last year off) I entered and ended up winning with a delicious white bean recipe from a family friend. When I heard we were bringing the chili cook off back, I knew I had to defend my title. There were 10 participants this year ranging from deer meat chili, to super spicy and we even had bear meat. Did I successfully defend the honor of Chili Champ?

It was a tough loss, but Brandi Hunter (who used to do mid days on The Wolf) took home the trophy. Her chili was fabulous and well deserving. I also appreciate that we're kind of keeping it in the Wolf family. Also I can't forget to mention, Beth Christy went home with a prize for the most delicious mac and cheese that I hear she made in a pressure cooker!

Do you have a chili recipe you'd like to share with us.
