It happened at the Hudson Valley Mall over the weekend.

According to the Daily Freeman, 3 women from the Bronx were arrested after they passed counterfeit money at the Victoria’s Secret store in the Hudson Valley Mall on Saturday.

Police told the Freeman that on Saturday they received a call from the Victoria’s Secret store reporting that three women had made a few hundred dollars worth of purchases of small items with counterfeit money.

After investigating, Town of Ulster police arrested Gladys N. McDow, 21, Shaqueena N. Beard, 22, and Taryn V. Sparks, 21, and charged all three with the felony of possession of a forged instrument and with the misdemeanor of petit larceny.

Police also said that they women “knowingly used” the fake money.

The three women were arraigned in Ulster Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail, with bail for each set at $10,000.
