Cookout for a Cause

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! It's a holiday weekend here in the Hudson Valley, which means BBQ, parades and a ton of local events. Beth and CJ have done a great job keeping us up to date with all the different celebrations in and around the Valley.

I couldn't leave out my friends over at the Ulster County SPCA. They are having a Memorial Day BBQ called Cookout for a Cause. Now, if you remember during Take Jess to Work week I had the opportunity to stop by and lend a hand to Jenn and the rest of the staff at the Ulster County SPCA. They have a wonderful facility with a great and caring staff, but they have reached capacity. The Ulster County SPCA is currently supporting 100 + cats and over 50 dogs.

Cookout for a Cause is supporting the expansion that the Ulster SPCA is in dire need of. They'll have food, raffles and a TV giveaway with all donations going to the shelter and the future expansion. If you're looking to go to a BBQ and help out a great local charity head on out to the Verizon Wireless Cellular Sales building at 338 RT 212 in Saugerties. The Ulster County SPCA will be Cookin' out on Saturday, May 23rd, and Sunday May 24th from 11am-3pm.
