Construction at Newburgh Mall to Make Room for New Stores?

The Newburgh Mall is currently under construction leaving many wondering if any new stores will be opening soon.

For many years the Newburgh Mall located at 1401 Route 300, Newburgh, NY was home to numerous stores and restaurants that thousands of shoppers visited regularly. Stores like Sears, Kay-Bee Toys, Radio Shack, Athletes Foot, Lerner's, and Spencer's were some of the more popular stores but similar to a lot of other malls across the country the Newburgh Mall has gone through a huge transition.

Newburgh Mall Changes Under Construction

Over the last few years, the Newburgh Mall has undergone a huge makeover with the majority of its "anchor" stores leaving and the folks at Resorts World Hudson Valley moving in. The addition of the casino has added new life to the mall and it appears that was just the beginning as the mall has announced a new construction project on Facebook that they are making room for "some exciting new stores!"

"For the next several months, the Newburgh Mall will be undergoing demo and construction to make room for some exciting new stores! All stores, restaurants, and Resorts World Hudson Valley casino will OPERATE AS USUAL."

 

Changes at Newburgh Mall

The mall also announced a few changes to the way visitors can access the mall's shops and casino over the next few months. The main mall entrance #1 is the only entrance visitors can use to access mall shops, main 3 and 4 entrances will now only provide access to the casino, and main entrance #2 will no longer be available. To lessen the confusion the mall explained the entrances saying, "Main 1 is the entrance by Chilitos. Main 3 is the entrance by the old Sears around the back of the Mall. Main 3 and 4 are the entrances (front and back) closest to the casino."

New Stores Coming to the Newburgh Mall

The announcement of the construction project had many wondering what new stores would be coming soon to the mall with multiple fans asking "What stores are coming to the mall???" The mall replied saying, "We have several national named tenants coming into the mall. We will announce those stores and establishments as soon as we are able to." When the mall makes that announcement t we will update this article until then we can all start our wish list of stores.
