Congratulations: Dutchess County Fairgrounds Wins Tourism Award
I can't exactly remember what year it was when I first went to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds but I do know it was decades ago. It seems like the fairgrounds has been part of our live in the Hudson Valley for as long as we can remember. COVID-19 has resulted in many of our favorite events at the fairgrounds having to be postponed and canceled in 2020. However, it didn't stop the fairgrounds from winning an award this week from Dutchess County Tourism.
Although we have not been able to attend any of the annual Spring events at the Dutchess County Fairground that hasn't stop the crew at the fairgrounds from being there for the community. Nothing stops the folks at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. That is probably one of the reason why this past Tuesday when Dutchess County Tourism handed out their annual awards they award the fairgrounds with their Award of Distinction.
Even though events were and continue to be canceled, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds has continued to serve to their community. They have offer to help local high schools with graduation ceremonies. They also held food pantries at the fairgrounds throughout the time New York was on pause. They have always made it part of their mission to give back while still being a place that you can count on for entertainment for the entire family.
This past week they had to announce that the annual Hudson Valley Balloon Festival held at the fairgrounds each year had to be canceled. We are all holding out hope for events later in the Fall. Click here to link with what might still happen later this year.
