CJ & Jess Bet on the National Anthem

We do it every year and this time around, one of us will have to shove the "devils" appetizer in our mouth.

Each year for the last 4 years or so, the Friday before the Super Bowl Jess and I get on the fun "prop" bet frenzy. If you don't understand prop bets, it's where you can pretty much bet on anything that might happen during the Super Bowl. You can bet on the coin toss, who will be shown first on TV, you name it, and there's a bet for it, including the length of the National Anthem performance.

With Eric Church being the artist performing the anthem this year, we had to jump on board and lay a Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show wager on how long the performance will go this year. The official Over/Under for the anthem this time around is 1:59. Jess has lost this same wager the last two out of three years, so she got to choose which she wanted, the over or the under. She thinks the anthem will go OVER 1:59, which then means I have the UNDER.

The loser will have to do something both of us are extremely grossed out by. Loser has to fill their mouth with deviled eggs on Monday's show and sing, loud and proud, 30 seconds of Eric Church's song, Stick That in Your County Song. The egg spitting karaoke will take place Monday at 8:15 a.m. and YES it'll be videoed for future viewing pleasure.
