It was a late night wake up that no one wants to get. A car smashing into your house.

It all happened on Saturday just before midnight according to the Times Herald Record.

Police received a 911 call from a Port Jervis homeowner on Owen St. The caller told police that a driver had crashed into a car and then into the house porch causing major damage.

Home owner Bette Long, told the Record that "He pushed my porch over, and my porch steps are under the porch, it was a scary thing." Long also said that the person that was driving the vehicle got out and ran from the scene of the accident but police did catch the suspect.

Police said no further details were available as of now, but did say that they have started an investigation and could be filing charges soon.

Nobody was injured in the accident.
