NBC news is reporting that at least one person, a professor, has been killed in what is being called an 'active shooter incident' at Delta State University in Cleveland, in Mississippi's Delta region near the Arkansas-Mississippi state line.

The lock down began at 10:45 am local time and, as of this writing, the campus is still on lock down with students and staff being told to stay inside and away from windows. Multiple law enforcement agencies are on the scene.

We will update this story as we get more information.
