Hey Hudson Valley Bands! Want to be in a Movie?
Attention Hudson Valley area bands! How would you like to be in a movie?
If you or someone you know is in a band and they are looking for a way to get their foot in the door of the entertainment industry it appears that the folks at the Hudson Valley Film Commission Actors and Crew have released a new casting call that could the break they have been looking for.
New York Band Needed for Movie
If you're a part of a band you are already well aware that making it in the music business is incredibly hard and sometimes the big break you are hoping for might come from a situation you or your bandmates never even thought about. A perfect example of something like that happening could be landing a part in a new "production" that is looking to cast a "country band quartet" for the evening of May 16th according to a post on the Hudson Valley Film Commission Actors and Crew Facebook page.
The post explained that the production is looking for a band of four, not to play any music, but to go through the process of setting up their gear and getting ready to play. The post didn't say exactly where the filming would take place or how much the "gig" pays but did say that they are looking for non-union members only, please. If you are interested in answering the casting call send a picture of your band to Amy Hutchings at amyhutchingscasting@gmail.com.
If you do apply and get the part please let us know so we can follow your journey and who knows maybe this is the first of many breaks!
