Body Recovered From Hudson River
The discovery happened just after 8 p.m. on Sunday.
According to the Times Herald Record, a 911 call was received last night, by dispatchers around 7:48 p.m. reporting that someone was seen jumping from the Newburgh Beacon Bridge.
The City of Newburgh Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and by using a rescue boat, discovered and recovered a body.
The body was found along the docks of the Hudson River, near the Newburgh Beacon Bridge, about a half hour after the 911 call was placed.
Fire officials told the Times Herald Record that the identity of the deceased person has not been released yet. They will release more information once they notify the next of kin.
