A non-teaching Arlington High School employee has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Arlington School District has informed parents in the district that, after a month-long investigation, a high school employee has been arrested after allegedly having inappropriate physical contact with three Arlington High School students.

Inappropriate Conduct Reported at Arlington High School in Lagrangeville, New York

Back on May 15, 2025, Philip Benante, Ed. D,. Superintendent of Schools informed the Arlington School community that he was made aware of a report of alleged inappropriate conduct by a non-teaching Arlington High School employee.

At the time, he said, "We understand that news of this nature can be deeply unsettling, and we want to assure you that we are treating these allegations with the utmost seriousness."

The alleged conduct was promptly reported to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office (DCSO), which began an investigation.

Arlington High School Employee Arrested

Following that investigation, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office informed the district that they have made an arrest in this matter, according to an email sent out to parents in the district on June 3, 2025.

Robert Siniscalchi was arrested on Tuesday, June 3rd, and is accused of having inappropriate physical contact with three Arlington High School students during the 2024-2025 school year. The DCSO charged Siniscalchi with three counts each of Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both misdemeanors.

The school didn't say which department Siniscalchi worked for at the high school, but did say that he remains on administrative leave.

The DCSO Detectives are continuing to investigate the incidents above and are asking anyone with information about this case or similar incidents involving Robert Siniscalchi to come forward.
