American Pharoah has us all holding our breathe this weekend. Even if you don't follow horse racing you would have to be under a rock not to know that Bob Baffert's brightest and best offering yet, American Pharoah is likely to win the Belmont Stakes and the Triple Crown. Watch it all on NBC, Saturday starting at 4:30pm

Ever since Affirmed took the Triple Crown in 1978 I have wait for another Triple Crown winner. Only 11 horses have won the title of Triple Crown winner. Bob Baffert has come so close 3 times in the past. In 1997 he had his first chance with Silver Charm, in 1998 it was Real Quiet and in 2002 it was War Emblem. All three of those horses were amazing, but even Baffert admits there is something bigger and better about American Pharoah.

For Jockey Victor Espenoza it will be a well earned victory as well. All great race horses have a great jockey, it is part of the winning formula. Victor was aboard War Emblem in 2002 and California Chrome, both horses Triple Crown hopefuls whose dreams were out run at the Belmont. Let's hope the 3rd time is a charm for Victor and American Pharoah.

Truth be told I am a Frosted fan. I had him winning at the Derby, but fourth was where he finished. Frosted has the home turf advantage at Belmont and I think he is going to run a great race but it is hard to imagine that any horse will cross the finish line ahead of American Pharoah. So I will be placing my money on Frosted and American Pharoah. How can you not want this amazing horse to win it all.
