The Saugerties Central School District recently shared details about how one local family had a big night at the Grammy Awards..

According to the district, a 9th grader Phoebe Siegal shared with her choir class that she and her family won a Grammy!

Phoebe along with her parents, younger sister Ava and singer-songwriter Lucky Diaz won the Grammy for Best Children's Album called Brillo Brillo.

The album was recorded at Old Soul Studios in Catskill, New York which is owned and operated by Phoebe's father singer, songwriter and producer, Kenny Siegal.

Phoebe told her class "Attending the Grammys is amazing" and they were so excited to actually win, Phoebe adds:

"It was insane—we all jumped up and ran to the stage," she recalled. "We were the underdog, and we won!"
