70,000 Pounds of Bacon Spills in Illinois Friday

According to Newsweek, an Amtrak train traveling from San Antonio, Texas hit a tractor trailer that was blocking the tracks in Wilmington, Illinois. Passengers on the train didn't know what was happening, they were under the impression that the Engineer was just tapping on the breaks. Little did they know that the train hit a truck causing it to overturned. Here's the kicker, the truck cracked open spilling out over 70,000 pounds of Bacon!

So.Much.Bacon. There hasn't been an official statement yet if all the bacon was contaminated. We'll keep an eye out about this story and if the bacon is deemed edible. Three of the passengers were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
