4th Person Arrested After Hudson Valley Man Beaten With Baseball Bats
A 62-year-old man is accused of ordering the attack where a Hudson Valley man was beaten with baseball bats and tossed off a porch.
As Saugerties police continued to investigate the beating of a 32-year-old man from Rhinebeck they allege that 62-year-old Vincent Neglia Sr., of Saugerties ordered the attack.
Neglia Sr., was charged with criminal liability for conduct of another assault, a felony.
On Wednesday, Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call at the Mayfield Estates in the Town of Saugerties for a report of a man being chased by men with baseball bats.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim, a 32 year-old man from Rhinebeck, lying on the ground semi-conscious and bleeding from both his face and head, police say
Police began an investigation and found video of the attack, which helped them identify the attackers, officials say.
A graphic (warning) video of the attack was provided by police. The video shows two attackers hitting a man with baseball bats and tossing the man off a porch.
On Thursday, Vincent Neglia, 31, 22 year-old Russel Neglia and 22 year old Travis Gonzalez, all of Saugerties, were all charged with robbery and gang assault, felonies.
Vincent Neglia was also charged with a felony for assault while Russel Neglia and Travis Gonzalez criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
An order of protection was issued for the unnamed victim.
