A really cool event is set for Kingston this Saturday and if you like football, you're gonna love this.

It's called the 2016 Football Classic and Veterans Benefit, hosted by Play For Your Freedom, and it's going on at Dietz Stadium this Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

This is a great event that is trying to shine the light on veteran suicide with physical fitness and peer to peer support in hopes of preventing it from happening.

There will be a lot of great stuff going on this Saturday including a Veterans Appreciate Ceremony which will start at noon, they will be selling raffle tickets to possibly win a new truck and their will be a Kids Zone with live music and games for everyone.

There will also be four NFL Alumni coaches on hand to help with this event. Former New York Giants Stephen Baker and Odessa Turner will be there plus former Green Bay Packer Gary Brown and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Damian Gregory.

We hope that you can make this great event but if you cant and would liker to make a donation, please do so here.

If you missed our interview with Dave, who is helping put the event on this year, take a look.... and yes, Jess, he is married!

Hudson Valley Post recently covered a Play For Your Freedom "Wellness Workshop." An afternoon that brought together hospitalized veterans and former NFL players, Super Bowl champions, for a day of fun, fitness, comradery, and of course football!
