If this years Halloween costume requires some fake blood, we have the easiest and safest little recipe for you.

You can make a whole bunch of it with just four ingredients that you might already have in your kitchen.

Here's what you need:

Eight ounces of water

16 ounces of powdered sugar

A one-ounce bottle of red food coloring

A tablespoon of cocoa powder to make it a nice blood like red.

With these measurements it should probably fill a medium sized pitcher, so if you don't need that much you cut down some of the ingredients. But if you mix those four things together, you should end up with something that looks just as realistic as the fake blood they sell at costume stores.

Another good thing about this recipe is it's non-toxic, so you don't have to worry about your kids eating it. Which is always a problem in my house.

If you have to go out and buy all of the ingredients, it shouldn't cost more than ten bucks to make and still is cheaper than buy fake blood.

So now you have your costume and your cheap fake blood ready to go, now all you need to do is join us on Saturday Halloween night at the Hudson Valley's Boo Ball, the biggest Halloween party in the Valley at the Mid Hudson Civic Center. We are giving away over $1000 is cash and prizes.
