For years we've wanted to honor our local first responders and we finally can with the Wolf Den of Heroes.

Over the last few weeks we've been asking the Hudson Valley to nominate the first responder in their life. Whether their a firefighter, police officer or an EMT we want to hear their story and share it with the Hudson Valley. Not only will we put the well deserved spotlight on them, but thanks to our friends at Mental Health America Dutchess County, we'll be hooking up our inductees with a $250 gift card.

We are happy to announce our May 2023 Wolf Den of Heroes Inductee: Nick Grover!

Nick's mom, Tina, nominated him earlier this month and wrote:

My son Nick is a volunteer firefighter with the Plattekill Fire Dept for 2 years now. In that short time he has given his all because it means so much to him. He received Firefighter of the Year for 2022 for his commendable and dedicated service. He was also promoted to Lieutenant this year due to his take charge attitude he exhibits during calls.
The other reason I believe my son is a Hero is because he is also a member of the NY Air National Guard at Stewart with a commitment to serve NYS and the United States wherever or whenever he is needed. Nick does this one weekend a month on top of working a full-time job with TSA. So Nick is a hero above and beyond, in every position he holds.

Congratulations, Nick on being our first Wolf Den of Heroes hero!

If you or someone you know is a first responder in the Hudson Valley and you'd like to nominate them fill out the form on our Wolf Den of Heroes page. We'll be picking a new inductee every month for the rest of 2023!
