If you have yet to nominate someone be sure to do it after you read more about our January 2025 Wolf Den of Heroes Inductee: Zachary Klingner who was nominated by Grace his girlfriend.
Zach is a 22-year-old firefighter and EMT in Amenia, New York. He is a 4th generation member who joined at the age of 14. He is currently 1st Lieutenant for the Amenia Fire District. He will do anything for anyone. At such a young age, he has seen more accidents and unfortunate situations than anyone should have in a lifetime.
4-Generation Firefighter Inducted into the Wolf Den of Heroes
He spends countless hours volunteering on both fire and EMT calls in the county, even participating on the Rope Rescue Team for the area. He will calmly address any situation that is thrown at him and give it his all to assist anyone in need of help.
Whether he knows the individual or not, he treats each person like his family, giving them the best care possible. He has battled countless fires, and no matter how big or small, he risks his life daily. He is On call 24/7, yet expects nothing in return for his courageous help and expertise in emergencies.
I hope Zach is chosen for his dedication to being a first responder, highlighting his hard work and perseverance. He will continue to take classes and expand his knowledge and training, continuing to make a difference in the lives of others. Without people like Zach, the world would be a different place. He is truly a hero.
If you want to nominate a first responder in your life, fill out the form on our website. Be sure to take a minute to share some information about the First Responder you are nominating and please feel free to send us a picture or two.
Here at The Wolf, we wanted to put a spotlight on the first responders in our community who do so much for us and leave their families at a moment's notice to help out our neighbors in need. We decided the least we could do is give them the spotlight on Wakin' Up With CJ and Jess and social media as a 'thank you' for all they do for their communities.
Then, our partners at Mental Health America Dutchess County and Mid Hudson Pump jumped on board with their support and because of them, we will be able to honor more people throughout 2025. MHA of Dutchess County and Mid Hudson Pump make it possible for us to give the responder who becomes the Wolf Den Inductee $250 as a way of saying thank you.
