New York Wildlife Center Continues To Spread Message of Caring
I have shared many stories with you about the Friends of the Feathered and Furry Wildlife Center, which is located in Hunter, New York. I thought this would be a good time for an end-of-summer update.
Friends of the Feathered and Furry Hope To Raise Funds
Recently, The Friends of the Feathered and Furry (FFFWC) has shared that they are raising funds in the name of their Founder, Missy Runyan, whom I had the privilege of speaking to before she passed away about the FFFWC and its work.

They had set a goal of $1200 on Thursday, and I am happy to report they have met and exceeded that goal as of Saturday night. The FFFWC does amazing work and is one of the few places accredited to help Bears in New York.

The FFFWC never seems to have a shortage of animals in its care. Everything from Foxes to Bears to Eagles and more have counted on the FFFWC for help. The mission is "Let Wild Be Wild," so they work hard to rehab animals so they can return to their natural homes.
Friends of the Feathered and Furry Visit Delaware County Fair In Walton, New York
The FFFWC spent time recently at the Delaware County Fair in Walton, New York. They were invited back to share their work and brought with them a Hawk that was banded by the DEP and then released back to the wild in front of a crowd to once again soar the skies.
The FFFWC also recently posted to social media so video of the Bald Eagles they have rehabilitating at the center.
The FFFWC receives calls frequently to travel and pick up Eagles who need care. The goal is to return all of these beautiful birds back to their natural surroundings, but the FFFWC also wants to make sure they are fully ready to go, which is why they have enclosures that are large enough for the Eagles to stretch their wings.
Follow the Friend of the Feathered and Furry on social media to see what and where they will be up to next. To donate or find out more about what they do, you can call (518) 989-6534.
