The New York State Police issued a Traffic Alert for Today (Thursday, July 28, 2022) which should affect the hours of 9 AM through 3 PM in an area covering Green County all the way to the Port of Albany.

According to a Facebook post by the New York State Police, a wide load shipment travel by truck will result in significant delays on roads in Greene County. This is due to the movement of a large piece of equipment that is being escorted via Hudson Valley roadways by the New York State Police. Motorists will be asked to avoid the areas and roads that the escort plans to travel.

The Best Hudson Valley Traffic Circles

A traffic circle is a great way to direct traffic. Gone are the red lights. Instead there is a yield sign and traffic moving in unison. I have always been a fan of the traffic circle as appose to a light and intersection. I will admit though for people who aren't use to driving in them they can be pretty intimidating. You have to think of them as a revolving door for cars. Of course I know a lot of people who can't navigate a revolving door. Here are few traffic circles that I enjoy using in the Hudson Valley.
